  • 3201 Kings Highway, BROOKLYN, NY 11234 Position Summary : We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
  • The ideal candidate will have solid experience in recovering post-operative and intubated patients, administering medicated drips, and managing critical transitions from the operating room to recovery.
  • This role is essential to ensuring patients receive safe, high-quality care during the immediate postoperative period in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical or invasive procedures.
  • Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, level of consciousness, airway, and pain management needs.
  • Manage intubated patients and provide airway support as required.
  • Administer IV fluids, medications, and medicated drips per physician orders.
  • Accurately document patient assessments and interventions using EPIC EMR.
  • Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative team members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Educate patients and families on post-surgical expectations, pain control, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License – in good standing.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications – required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including postoperative management and medicated drip experience.
  • Experience recovering intubated patients post-surgery – required.
  • EPIC EMR experience – highly preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Associate degree considered only if actively enrolled in a BSN program.
