Job Title : Senior Data Engineer

Location : Remote (Midwest surrounding Indianapolis, IN)

Summary : We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our scalable data infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be a critical part of our team, managing the flow of data, ensuring its quality and integrity, and providing clean, accessible data to our data consumers. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and product managers. A deep understanding of data warehousing principles, hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, and strong proficiency in Python are essential for success in this role.

Requirements :

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL / ELT processes within the GCP ecosystem
• Design and model relational (transactional) databases, ensuring efficient schema design, normalization, and performance optimization for business applications
• Architect and implement data warehousing solutions to enable efficient querying, analytics, and reporting
• Develop and optimize complex queries using SQL to support applications and analytics
• Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of our databases on GCP
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., GDPR)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions, ensuring actionable insights and high data quality
• Lead complex data projects, including integrations with APIs, data scraping, event-driven architectures, and near real-time data processing on GCP
