Pay Rate : $30.56 per hour

Shift : 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM (40 hours / week, 30-minute lunch)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our team on a contract-to-perm basis. In this role, you will set up and operate both manual and CNC machines to perform a variety of machining and grinding operations. The ideal candidate will be skilled in reading blueprints, selecting proper cutting tools, and ensuring accuracy through precise measurements. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with strong machining knowledge looking for a long-term career path.

Qualifications

Previous experience running manual or CNC machines .

Ability to program CNC machines (or willingness to learn).

Knowledge of machining materials such as metals, alloys, aluminum, ceramics, and composites.

Strong blueprint reading and trade math skills.

Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges, indicators, scales, etc.).

Ability to make manual machine adjustments and compensations to maintain tolerances.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate machine tools for fitting, assembling, and machining parts.

Operate conventional and CNC machines to perform grinding and machining operations.

Select appropriate cutting tools and determine proper feeds and speeds for materials.

Use and maintain precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.

Read and interpret blueprints, program readouts, and work orders to complete jobs.

Perform manual adjustments to cutters or machine paths to maintain accuracy.

Operate various machining equipment (lathes, saws, mills, grinders, etc.) and attachments.

Special Notes

Previous machining experience, especially with CNC or manual machines, is highly preferred.

Ability to read blueprints and / or program CNC machines is a strong plus.
