Behavior Specialist, Adventure Guide - Vallejo Center at Center for Social Dynamics
We are seeking a Behavior Specialist, Adventure Guide to join our dynamic and growing team. This role supports Adventure Club event coordination and management and implements evidence-based mental health services and Applied Behavior Analysis programs for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental needs under clinical supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist in Adventure Club event management and planning, including coordinating flyers, materials, and swag
- Coordinate setup and breakdown on site for Friday and Saturday Adventure Club events
- Manage attendance for participants and staff, and track Adventure badges
- Be knowledgeable on all session types (in home, in center, telehealth, and virtual)
- Conduct scheduled sessions, with time-off or cancellations communicated to the clinical team as needed
- Substitute sessions to sustain productivity when a session is canceled by a family, within the employee's availability
- Coordinate and conduct make-up sessions when cancelling own sessions
- Implement individualized treatment goals and Behavioral Support Plans as directed by clinical leadership
- Travel to home and community settings to deliver services
- Document thoroughly, including daily session notes, data, and monthly plans, following policy for changes
- Communicate schedule changes and cancellations to the clinical team promptly
- Attend meetings and maintain communication with Clinical Leaders regarding plans, family concerns, and questions
- Ensure parent participation during sessions when deemed necessary and provide tools to generalize skills
- Maintain updated site-related documents and stay informed on current research and trends in special education
- Participate in staff meetings and trainings; perform additional duties as assigned
