Capital Markets Supervisor

Location : Chicago, IL

Overview

A privately held real estate investment and management firm is seeking a Capital Markets Supervisor to support debt and equity financing activities across a growing portfolio of residential and development assets. This role will oversee financial modeling, lender and investor reporting, and execution of capital markets transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support structuring, negotiation, and execution of debt and equity financings
  • Prepare and maintain detailed financial models for acquisitions, developments, and recapitalizations
  • Manage lender and investor reporting requirements, including covenant compliance
  • Assist with refinancing, loan modifications, and new credit facilities
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to inform financing strategies
  • Collaborate with accounting, asset management, and development teams to provide capital markets insights
  • Develop and implement processes to streamline reporting and improve accuracy
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff involved in capital markets and financial analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in real estate capital markets, investment banking, or related finance role
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of real estate financing structures (construction loans, permanent debt, credit facilities, JV equity)
  • Familiarity with loan agreements, covenant tracking, and compliance
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills; Argus or similar software a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
