Director, Energy & Community Engagement

Snelling Staffing is hiring a mission-driven Director of Energy & Community Engagement to lead impactful sustainability initiatives that serve the greater San Antonio area. This is a direct hire leadership opportunity for a grounded, people-first professional who thrives in collaborative, high-performance environments.

Pay / Schedule / Location / Benefits :

  • $160,000$175,000 / year (based on experience)
  • Based in San Antonio, TX deep knowledge of the community is strongly preferred
  • Direct Hire with Immediate Start Available

Director, Energy & Community Engagement What You'll Do :

  • Lead energy and sustainability initiatives by aligning internal teams, community partners, and stakeholders around shared, impact-driven goals.
  • Serve as a trusted client partner through deep listening, empathy, and long-term relationship building.
  • Inspire and develop a cross-functional team with a focus on growth, accountability, and meaningful collaboration.
  • Oversee program delivery across budgets, timelines, and outcomes, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve and innovate.
  • Champion continuous improvement and foster a culture of transparency, service, and purpose.

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and mission-aligned programs in community, energy, or public service settings.
  • Ability to lead with integrity while developing talent and fostering a collaborative, values-driven culture.
  • Strong skills in budget management and performance tracking, with the agility to adapt to community needs.
  • A relational, grounded leadership style you listen actively, build trust, and lead through empathy and accountability.
  • A genuine passion for community empowerment and sustainability, with a focus on equity and positive change.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.
