The PMO Project Manager plays a critical leadership role within the IT organization, responsible for coaching, guiding, and mentoring Program Managers, Project Managers, and Project Coordinators. This role ensures adherence to established project management processes while driving strategic alignment, execution excellence, and portfolio transparency across the enterprise. As a subject matter expert (SME), the PMO Project Manager will lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of project management methodologies, standards, and reporting tools to support Flagstar's business goals and IT delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and mentor Program Managers, Project Managers, and Project Coordinators to ensure high performance and consistent adherence to PMO standards.

Drive the execution of enterprise-wide project management disciplines and methodologies within the PMO.

Act as a trusted advisor to IT leadership on project delivery, resource management, and program health.

Define, implement, and manage portfolio metrics and KPIs that measure the health, performance, and value delivery of projects and programs.

Continuously assess and evolve the PMO framework to adapt to changing business priorities, project complexity, and emerging technologies.

Serve as the go-to expert for project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools.
