Operations Manager
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Operations Manager located in Orangeburg, SC. Reporting to the Director of Operations the Operations Manager is responsible for effectively managing all strategic operational processes and resources and managing an organization in order to achieve and maintain operational excellence.
What a typical day looks like :
- Manage appropriate staffing and inventory levels.
- Oversee the assembly operations to meet corporate KOI.
- Supervise production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.
- Coordinate with other departments and other Flex sites to drive for excellence.
- Coordinate efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.
- Ensure ISO and safety standards are adhered to.
- Report to Senior Management team in weekly operations reviews.
- Coach and mentor Operations team.
- Leverage industry practices and apply to internal systems and processes.
- Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
The experience we're looking to add to our team :
Typically requires 9 years of related experience including management.Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to other functions and a complete understanding of the function and those of related businesses.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or styles.Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors.Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Impacts the long-term (annual) direction and financial or operational success of the function and / or site. Approves and / or creates functional processes or technologies. Establishes and ensures effective achievement of functional strategic plans and objectives for the site. May have P&L responsibility for the function. Develops plans for structuring and implementing major initiatives.Makes decisions for the function and the site. Decisions may affect site.Recognizes and develops talent as a key element of executing operational business plans. Ensures Flex values are part of site work life.
