- Machinist III – Job Summary Key responsibilities include inspecting parts for quality, planning jobs and preparing materials, performing benchwork, and executing milling, turning, grinding, and troubleshooting tasks.
- The role also involves editing CNC setup sheets, documenting work in the ERP system accurately and on time, and generating nonconformance reports when necessary.
- The Machinist III works closely with Process Engineering to support new product introduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Daily housekeeping, preventative maintenance, and safe work practices are expected at all times.
- All duties must be performed in compliance with MEI policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Machinist III - Requirements To succeed in this role, candidates should have a minimum of seven years of related experience. Strong English communication skills are essential to understand verbal and written instructions, effectively communicate with team members, follow task lists, and participate in meetings and training sessions.
- The role requires advanced math skills, including college-level algebra, geometry, and some trigonometry, as well as advanced measurement abilities.
- Candidates must be proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and standards, documenting quality control requirements, and understanding tooling capabilities and equipment safety standards.
- The ability to quickly respond to non-conforming operations, produce parts within specified tolerances, and work with precise accuracy when measuring and cutting materials is critical to success.
