Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Augusta, GA 30901 (Georgia nursing jobs)

Setting : Cardiac Telemetry Unit (16 beds, average daily census : 16)

Employment Type : Locum Tenens (Travel Nurse Contract)

Duration : 20 weeks (Start : 10 / 13 / 2025 – End : 3 / 2 / 2026)

Shift : Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 – 07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1660 - $1700

Patient Population : Adults to Geriatrics

Charting System : Epic (Required)

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

Weekend Coverage : 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period

Floating : Required to other Cardiac Telemetry Units or as needed

Telemetry Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN or Registered Nurse in cardiac care

Active Georgia or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)

BLS and ACLS certifications (required for healthcare jobs)

Experience with Epic charting system

Strong clinical skills in cardiac telemetry, post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease

Ability to float to other units as needed

Two supervisory references highly preferred

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted)

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions, including post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, and chest pain

Perform telemetry monitoring, EKG interpretation, and Doppler assessments

Administer medications and manage cardiac drips (no titration)

Care for patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis

Provide wound care, tracheostomy management, and IV therapy

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, and more)

Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Float to other cardiac telemetry units or other hospital units as needed

Participate in rapid response / code teams as required

Work assigned weekend and holiday shifts per contract policy
