As an EHR Integration Architect, you will play a pivotal role in driving the modernization of electronic health records for one of the nation’s largest healthcare programs. You will lead the integration of complex EHR solutions across clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders, ensuring seamless workflows and alignment with program objectives. This role demands expertise in systems integration, healthcare IT, and project management, while providing strategic guidance to ensure mission success. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, design, and implement solutions that optimize enterprise-wide EHR adoption, while mitigating risks and promoting high-quality delivery. Your work will directly impact the healthcare experience for millions of veterans nationwide.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will be responsible for :

  • Serving as a liaison across solution areas during design, build, testing, and training phases.
  • Aligning clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders to support cross-functional decision-making.
  • Evaluating workflow and configuration changes and assessing their enterprise-wide impact.
  • Applying project and program management methodologies to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and mitigating technical risks related to integration capabilities and platforms.
  • Providing oversight and strategic recommendations to program leadership.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have :

  • 10+ years of professional experience in IT, healthcare IT, or systems integration.
  • Proven expertise managing IT-related projects, including cost, schedule, and performance tracking.
  • Strong knowledge of project lifecycle and program management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate technical and operational risks.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Cerner / Oracle EHR solutions and integrating enterprise healthcare systems.
  • Functional expertise in EHR workflows, solution architecture, and build tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to align clinical and technical teams effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience (8+ years).
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for off-site team meetings.
