We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, particularly with diesel engines, and will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles, including tractor-trailers.
This role requires a keen understanding of schematics and the ability to work with hydraulics and HVAC systems.
The Diesel Field Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including brake repair and alignment.
- Assemble and disassemble engine components as needed for repairs.
- Diagnose mechanic al issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct inspections on vehicles to identify potential issues before they become serious problems.
- Repair or replace defective parts, including hydraulic systems and HVAC components.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each vehicle.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and working with tools.

Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within an automotive dealership or repair shop.Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems, including hydraulics and HVAC.Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.Proficient in brake repair, alignment, and general automotive repair techniques.Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.Benefits
