General Operational Responsibilities

Team Hire, develop, motivate and hold accountable a team of 15-20 Hospital Managers

Engage and develop relationships with DVM staff to support a high standard of care

Oversee day to day operations of an assigned portfolio of hospitals with full P&L responsibility

Partner effectively with Regional Medical Director(s) to ensure highest standards of medical quality, client satisfaction, team engagement and financial performance are met

Demonstrate SVP's mission, vision and values to each hospital team

Assist the Hospital Managers in organizing their staff around key priorities and goals

Provide performance and coaching feedback to Hospital Managers in a timely manner

Ensure Hospital Managers have fully staffed teams by guiding them to select and retain the best talent who work at a high level with great care and respect for patients, providers, doctors, fellow employees and policies

Ensure the Hospital Managers and teams are compliant with all policies and procedures

Lead weekly Hospital Manager cascade calls and one-on-one touch bases with your direct reports

Develop an effective in-person visit cadence for your hospital teams (extensive travel averaging 60% of time)

Facilitate communication, teamwork and workflow with hospital team to support our doctors

Review monthly doctor and paraprofessional schedules created by Hospital Managers

Financial Develop insights and recommendations based on supported data and analytics to drive optimal hospital performance

Achieve monthly and annual financial budgets

Interpret, explain and manage the P&L statements for a hospital providing specific coaching to the Hospital Managers to manage variable expenses

Effectively communicate and provide performance and operational feedback back to the executive team

Hospital Operations Implementation and ensured execution of company-wide initiatives

Ensure each hospital's physical condition and appearance is consistent with SVP operating standards

Ensure each hospital is compliant with OSHA and other applicable local, state and federal regulations

Act as lead resource for recently acquired hospital acquisitions to ensure a smooth and effective transition

Continuously identify opportunities to improve patient, client, staff and organizational outcomes

Act as a liaison between Headquarters in Birmingham and your portfolio of hospitals

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred

Minimum 5 years' experience managing multi-site hospitals

Ability and adaptability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced and evolving work environment

Strong organizational skills and detail oriented

Experience with managing budgets, delivering information from P&L statements and delivering strong results within a growth oriented organization

Exceptional written and oral presentation skills; ability to present concisely and with detail

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data

Annual salary range of $130,000-$160,000 with bonus opportunity
