Donegal Insurance Group has an opening for a Field Claim Representative. This position will handle primarily larger loss complex home owner and commercial property claims. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling property claims in a competitive marketplace - exposure to other lines of claims is a plus. Prior construction-related experience is helpful. The Field Claim Representative will service our customers in central Pennsylvania. We provide a company car (currently a Jeep Grand Cherokee) and home office equipment (laptop computer and related equipment). There will be regional travel expected to Lancaster, York, Dauphin, Lebanon, and Cumberland counties. We offer fair and balanced workloads by managing and monitoring claims type and locations. Our goal with our field team is to provide the highest level of customer experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle claims as assigned
• Determine and organize work schedule in order that all work can be completed timely
• Maintain good relationships with agents, policyholders, and all company personnel

Qualifications and Skills

The pay range for this position is $60,000 to $85,000 annually. The specific offer will vary based on an applicant's education, qualifications, professional experience, skills, abilities, and any applicable designations / certifications. The posted pay range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience. The pay range may also be adjusted based on an applicant's geographic location. The base pay is just one component of Donegal's total compensation package for employees. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
