The Financial Analyst I will report to the Manager, Reporting and Accounting and be responsible for certain reporting and project activities associated with corporate reporting (including cash flow), property, plant and equipment ("PP&E"), leases, revenue recognition, equity in affiliates, accounting policies and other ad hoc transactions.
Key responsibilities include :
- Prepare Form 10-K / 10-Q footnote disclosure workpapers (e.g., leases, revenue, PP&E)
- Support accounting policy refresh project, including reformatting documents for consistency and numbering, validating inter-policy references, validating chart of account references, etc.
- Primary administrator of the lease accounting software (Visual Lease), adding / editing leases in the system, performing reconciliations to OneStream (management's consolidation system), documenting monthly control activities, ensuring lease documentation is uploaded to Visual Lease and supporting various lease requests from global locations (i.e., manage lease email inbox)
- Review and investigate unusual changes in revenue and government grant accounts during quarter-end close
- Organize quarterly control inquiries into the existence of changes in significant leases or customer terms & conditions
- Assist with internal and external audit requests for related areas
- Support projects for revenue, leases and accounting policies
- Prepare and analyze ad hoc financial data for related areas and assist with preparation of cash flow statement supporting schedules
