Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Cardiac Telemetry Care

License : Current state Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC

Certifications : Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers

Must-Have : Cardiac Telemetry Care experience; professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice

Description :

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment.

This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population.

The Staff RN job description includes essential functions adapted from the Nursing : Scope and Standards of Practice.

The nurse will work with a diverse patient population, including those with myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, strokes, stable arrhythmias, and other patients needing closer cardiac monitoring and assessment.

Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice is required, normally acquired through completion of a minimum of an Associate's degree in nursing.

A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.

Current Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association or an AHA approved equivalent is required.

An AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification for healthcare providers or an AHA approved equivalent is also required.
