Registered Nurse - Birthing Center •PRN •

As a vital member of our birthing center, you will play an essential role in providing comprehensive prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care to expectant mothers and their newborns. Your expertise will ensure that mothers receive a safe and positive birth experience while actively collaborating with a diverse team of healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for assessing patients' conditions, monitoring vital signs, and implementing appropriate interventions to support a healthy labor process. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of maternal-fetal nursing and will demonstrate exceptional communication skills to establish trust and rapport with patients and their families. Hours

PRN : As needed (25% pay increase incentive)

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to :

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers during prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs and fetal heart tones to ensure the well-being of mothers and newborns.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members for each patient.
• Educate patients and their families about labor, delivery, and postpartum care processes to promote informed decision-making.
• Assist in delivery and support during labor, providing emotional and physical support for mothers.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
• Document patient care activities and outcomes accurately in medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Ability to correctly recognize abnormal labor situations and take proper action per departmental protocol.
• Possess ability to perform accurate vaginal exams, call physician for delivery at appropriate time and interpret fetal monitor tracings.
