The general purpose of the CNC operator / programmer is creating programs to machine final parts to meet drawing specifications. The work is completed under the guidance of the Director of Manufacturing.
Responsibilities :
- Program CNC lathes and mills utilizing company software.
- Read blueprints and diagrams to determine critical dimensions and tolerances.
- Set up machines, tooling, and fixtures without instructions or assistance.
- Machine, per drawing, the various parts needed for standard and non-standard production.
- Complete inspections and deburring of parts after completion.
- Run multiple machines and program as needed all at one time.
- Work in a Team environment, be flexible to move from job to job to support the schedule.
- Optimize efficiency of machines utilizing the latest technology and tooling.
- Follow other programmers set ups from one shift to the next.
- Set up next shift operators and communicate effectively to be able to follow your set ups.
- Use measuring tools.
- Performs work as required utilizing hand tools such as a drill or tap.
- Will operate overhead crane and fork truck.
- Provide quality and timely workmanship on each work order and maintain daily time standards.
- Demonstrate ability to follow established safety and quality procedures.
Additional Responsibilities When not programming or running machines :
The following additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Director of Manufacturing :Assist the other crew members or shop personnel in performing their duties including training.
Housekeeping is an important responsibility. Keep the work area clean and organized.Job Type : Full-time
Schedule :
First shift : 8-hour shift Monday to Friday 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PMor 2nd shift : 10-hour shift Monday to Thursday 2 : 00 PM – 12 : 30 AMor 3rd shift : 10-hour shift Monday through Thursday 10 : 00 PM – 8 : 30 AMBenefits :

Must have CNC programming knowledge through experience or vocational school training.Minimum of 3 years of experience programming and running CNC machines.Certification a plus.Experience with Okuma and or Doosan mills and lathes.Ability to read blueprints and determine critical dimensions and tolerances.
