job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPerform all tasks and duties necessary for efficient start-ups, daily operation, change-over and shut-downs Perform preventative maintenance on and / or repair production machines, heating, cooling and steam systems, material-handling equipment, as well as plumbing, and hydraulic / pneumatics equipment Troubleshoot and repair various mechanical systems Properly record preventative maintenance tasks Complete work orders as required Timely respond to maintenance calls on the production floor Assist in providing installation of new machinery Inventory spare parts and report usage; suggest re-order to maintenance lead Maintain neat and orderly work area, properly maintain tools High school diploma or equivalent 4+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in troubleshooting and reading mechanical schematics Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and ability and knowledge of gauges and measurements. Possesses hydraulic & pneumatic repair experience Machining, welding, fabrication and millwright experience is a plus Ability to communicate with production operators and other maintenance technicians to be able to explain mechanical processes and root causes Strong focus on safety and quality Capable of walking and standing for up to twelve (12) hours per day Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment Frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel material Constant use of hand / fingers to grasp, pinch, pull, feel or handle and manipulate parts and tools Constant requirement of specific vision abilities including close vision, distant vision, depth perception Constantly wear appropriate PPE including but not limited to eye and foot protection Ability to work in extreme temperatures, and around machinery and chemicals Ability to lift to 50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques and Company-provided equipment Citizen of the United States, or Permanent resident alien of the United States, or Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15

The ideal candidate will possess working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical repair.
