At Miss Lucille’s Café Commissary Kitchen , we serve up more than meals—we serve up creativity, collaboration, and community. We’re looking for a Kitchen Shift Manager who’s as comfortable with a chef’s knife as they are leading a team to success.

As a vital part of our culinary family, you’ll oversee daily prep and production for multiple businesses under the Project 2231 Family of Brands , ensuring everything runs as smoothly as our signature sauces.

What You’ll Do

Lead, motivate, and mentor the prep team to deliver top-quality food every day.

Slice, dice, and prep like a pro—your knife skills are legendary!

Keep the kitchen spotless and compliant with food safety standards.

Coordinate catering and commissary operations to support multiple venues.

Manage inventory, communicate supply needs, and minimize waste.

Serve as the go-between for management and team members, keeping operations seamless and communication open.

What We’re Looking For

A natural leader with strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.

Proven experience in a prep, catering, or shift leadership role in a high-volume kitchen.

Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.

Passion for quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Physical & Cognitive Requirements

Ability to stand / walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Manual dexterity to handle kitchen tools safely.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, hot environment and maintain focus under pressure.

Strong memory and mental agility to handle multiple tasks at once.

Compensation 17 to 20.00 an hour (based on prior experience)

• Schedule varies based on business needs
• Weekend and holiday (except Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas)  availability required

35-40 Hours a week (based on business needs)
