Summary

Rosenbaum Personal Injury Lawyers is seeking a Plaintiff Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team. This role will provide crucial support to the attorneys with cases from inception to trial. The ideal candidate is organized and knowledgeable in the field of personal injury and familiar with all stages of case management and litigation. This position requires a minimum of 2 years plaintiff personal injury paralegal experience. Candidates without personal injury experience willNOT be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with stages of case management including but not limited to initial investigation, no-fault applications, MV-104 filings, and Notices of Claim in municipal action
  • Coordinate with outside investigators, including insurance communication and correspondence.
  • Draft and prepare summons and complaints, bills of particular, discovery demands and responses, motions, and opening and closing statements
  • Prepare and organize materials needed for court appearances, pleadings, depositions, and trial
  • Assist with lien negotiation and finalization and oversee updates throughout the case
  • Obtain necessary authorizations for medical records as well as the medical records
  • Help maintain client relations through strong communication and professional conduct
  • Provide general administrative support to the attorneys and perform additional duties as needed

MANDATORY Education and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years as a plaintiff personal injury paralegal
  • Associates degree required. Bachelors is preferred. Paralegal certification is a plus!
  • Experience with New York State court filing procedures and deadlines
  • Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and case management systems. Experience with Filevine is a plus!
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining case information
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information

  • This role is full-time and is on-site at our New York City office in downtown Manhattan. Business hours are Monday-Friday, 9 : 00am-5 : 30pm.

    Pay Range

    $50,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience
