Utilities Estimator - Construction - Base Salary to 130k / year - Raleigh, NC

As a nation's top ranking construction company, our client provides pre-construction and construction services for industries including healthcare, athletics, higher education, K-12 education, and utilities. They are looking for a Utilities Estimator that will analyze plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.

Responsibilities :

Track potential projects to bid; orders plans.

Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and prepare appropriate questions for owner clarification of proposal issues.

Assist in preparing and coordinating plan deposits, bid bonds, and bid proposals.

Plan bid strategy that meets Owner DBE / MBE / WBE requirements.

Analyze pre-bid project activities for government regulatory compliance like, OSHA, NC DENR, etc.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent

Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, etc

Ability to prepare a scope of work

Experience with pricing, purchasing, negotiating, and preparing purchase orders for materials and equipment

Experience reading and understanding drawings

Compensation :

Base salary up to 130k / year, plus full benefits.
