Scheduled hours : Custodial duties MWF; Grounds T / TH (5 hours a day)

Pay : Custodial MWF $19.20 plus H&W $5.09; Grounds T / TH $22.51 plus H&W $5.09

Job Summary

Performs custodial maintenance duties, including dusting, mopping, finishing and buffing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, and cleaning and restocking restrooms.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs routine custodial duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
• Performs routine maintenance of custodial equipment and supplies.
• Empties trash receptacles and dispose of trash into compactors and / or dumpsters and bags trash for proper disposal.
• Unlocks doors, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas.
• Reports needs and concerns to Project Manager, including checking supply levels.
• Ensures proper care in using and maintaining equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Assists in on-the-job training of new staff on routine procedures.
• Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and / or based on seasonal / project requirements.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Distinguishing Characteristics

The position requires a) regular and routine dusting, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning restrooms; b) routine maintenance of custodial equipment; and c) power equipment to buff and restore floors and shampoo carpets.
