Purpose
The Store Clerk will help execute a comprehensive warehouse inventory reorganization project, ensuring efficient space utilization, accurate record-keeping, and a seamless transition to our new material labeling system. They will identify unused items, organize materials by trade, and implement the updated labeling system.
Responsibilities
Identify unused or obsolete items for discard and items to be sent to Pickle, creating detailed lists for supervisor approval. Designate and reorganize shelving for inventory items, organizing materials by trade, and set up the receiving area for incoming inventory. Remove all remnants of outdated part numbers and ensure all inventory records are accurate and up-to-date.
Create and print QR codes for all inventory items and relabel shelves according to the new bin numbering system and established guidelines. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all reorganization activities, including discarded items, items sent to Pickle, and updated inventory locations.
Collaborate with warehouse leadership and staff to ensure smooth project execution, providing updates on progress and flagging any issues or delays. Act as a point of contact for internal teams regarding inventory reorganization, addressing questions, and providing guidance. Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
Required Qualifications
High school graduation, GED, or vocational school. Six months of experience in receiving, storing, issuing, and accounting for property in stores or a warehouse unit. Six months of experience in stock handling and / or maintaining records.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or knowledge of trade materials, such as plumbing and electrical supplies. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills. Professional demeanor and ability to work with staff and customers.
Hourly Rate
$18.00
