Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our steel production and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in mill operations, CTL, plate burning, and parts cutting, alongside a strong educational background.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily operations in steel production and manufacturing.
  • Implement and monitor continuous improvement processes.
  • Supervise a team, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Coordinate with various departments to streamline operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Essential Skills

  • 15+ years in steel production / manufacturing.
  • 35 years in mill operations.
  • Experience with CTL and plate burning / parts cutting.
  • Continuous Improvement certification (Green or Black Belt).
  • Project management expertise.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Production and inventory management experience.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • 10 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with overhead cranes.
  • Union experience.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.

    Work Environment

    This position operates in both office and industrial environments, requiring the use of standard office equipment and involving some sedentary work. The industrial environment includes exposure to extreme temperatures, wet and humid conditions, fumes, dust, dirt, smoke, and noise. Safety equipment and clothing are mandatory. The role follows a full-time, day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 4 : 30 PM.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, Minnesota.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $160000.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
