NP Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Opportunity in Las Vegas! 15 - 20 shifts per month.

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens coverage at an acute care hospital in Las Vegas, NV.This role is crucial in supporting an inpatient CVT service by assisting with complex surgical procedures and managing patients throughout the perioperative continuum of care.Start Date : September 25, 2025Availability : Preferred in 2 3 month blocks to ensure continuity and familiarity with the teamExpected Days per Month : Key Responsibilities : Assist in the inpatient management of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients, including pre-, peri-, and postoperative careParticipate in a rotating 24-hour First Call schedule shared between two providersFirst assist in CVT surgical procedures (CABG, valve replacements, etc.)Round on inpatients and coordinate interdisciplinary care with the medical teamsConsult on emergency department patients, determine diagnosis, and develop care plansOrder, interpret, and act on diagnostic testsPrescribe medications as appropriateCollaborate closely within a multidisciplinary teamAdditional duties as assigned by leadershipRequirements : Nevada State License or NLC BLS, ACLSClean malpractice history REQUIREDFirst assist experience in CVT surgeriesCVT experience REQUIRED Travel, housing, and malpractice insurance will be provided.
