Economic Development Business Analyst
This is highly responsible work supporting the planning, coordination, and implementation of projects and programs within the Economic Development Department. The Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between the Department, other City divisions, and external partners. The position is responsible for analyzing data, evaluating processes, and developing data-driven recommendations that advance the City's strategic priorities related to economic growth, business development, and community investment.
Essential Job Functions
- Analyzes economic and operational data to assess program performance, identify trends, and inform decision-making.
- Assists with the development and monitoring of departmental performance metrics aligned with the City's Strategic Plan.
- Evaluates departmental programs and initiatives to ensure efficiency, compliance with established goals, and effective use of resources.
- Research and compiles information related to business development, workforce initiatives, and community projects.
- Prepares reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing key findings and recommendations for executive and departmental leadership.
- Coordinates with internal departments, external agencies, and community partners to collect data and facilitate project execution.
- Supports the development of funding proposals, grant applications, and strategic planning documents.
- Provides answers to inquiries from the general public, department administrators, and City officials regarding economic and strategic initiatives
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Urban Planning, or a related field. OR An equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Possession of a valid Florida driver's license.
