Emergency Medicine Physician Job Details

Job Title : Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician

Location : Everett, PA & Altoona, PA (Pennsylvania emergency medicine jobs)

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 16, 2026

Shift : 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a); night shifts and mid-level coverage required

Hours per Week : Approximately 36

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks

Setting : On-site at hospital emergency departments

Estimated Weekly Salary : $8,400 - $9,000

Emergency Medicine Physician Qualifications

Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine Residency

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or Osteopathic Emergency Medicine

Current Stroke Certification required

Minimum 2 years of clinical emergency medicine experience

Willingness to work night shifts and flexible scheduling

Ability to work at both Everett and Altoona, PA locations

Active Pennsylvania medical license preferred

Emergency Medicine Physician Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department

Perform emergency procedures : intubations, chest tubes, central lines, joint and fracture reductions, joint aspirations, laceration repair, incision and drainage, and more

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Adapt to varying shift times and provide coverage for mid-level providers as needed

Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient encounters
