Role Overview

This position is with Capital Group, with WayUp partnering to find top talent. The FinOps Analyst (Software Asset Management) will utilize communication, technical, analytical, and quantitative skills to perform data analysis, cost optimization, spend modeling, and license position assessments on client and server software titles. The role involves partnering with Application Technology Owners to recommend cost-effective software solutions, creating insightful reports and dashboards, and maintaining the backend of our Software Asset Management tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and define software contracts and licenses, understanding complex terms and conditions.
  • Implement and manage licensing solutions, applying technical and financial expertise to optimize costs.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to influence service strategies and drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with major software publishers and understanding of complex licensing models.
  • Strong financial skills and knowledge of corporate accounting.
  • IAITAM Certified Software Asset Manager or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with tools like Flexera, ServiceNow, Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with software management and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Advanced programming skills in Python or PowerShell.
