RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ensure safe processes, work conditions, and behaviors through active leadership in Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE). This includes completing audits and driving safety action closure.
Participate in hazard reviews, introduction of new raw materials, MOCs, and PSSRs as required.
Provide process engineering support to all aspects of site operations, guiding new equipment design and commissioning, introducing new products and problem-solving process issues.
Work with project engineers and external contractors to introduce new equipment, develop, and commission new processes at the site.
Provide guidance as required to production supervisors and engineers and be available to offer training and coaching to the operations team on request.
Drive right the first time and process capability, through documented root cause analysis, and eliminate reasons for non-confirming product. Establish capability indices for top products and use SPC to minimize waste and non-value adding activities.
Ensure plant process instructions and SOPs are fit for purpose. Contribute to development and training of operations in new products and processes.
Contribute to the site capital plan, driving improvement projects through completion.
Lead process automation initiative, liaising with external contractors to develop and maintain existing systems.
Participate in day to day operations to resolve process issues and provide technical solutions as needed.
Work with QC and Operations to resolve issues with out-of-specification products.
