Responsibilities Work in a busy Labor & Delivery unit within an acute care setting Night shifts with every other weekend required (Fri / Sat for nights) 33 weeks and above patient population, focusing on high-risk pregnancies, preeclampsia, diabetes, and psychosocial cases 150-180 births per month on average with 34 L&D beds, 2 OR suites for C-sections, 2 triage beds, and 14 postpartum beds Required to attend deliveries independently, circulate in C-sections, catch and transition babies, and cover postpartum with mom / baby competencies Must titrate magnesium, Pitocin, and insulin drips EMR : Epic; EFM system : Centricity-Perinatal Block scheduling available upon request during contract Unit includes free charge nurse both shifts, surgical tech present 24 / 7, and OB anesthesia and OBGYN / NNP coverage 24 / 7 No floating outside the Mother / Baby-Postpartum department Expect to rotate holiday coverage with permanent staff Response time for standby is 45 minutes when required Unit provides scrubs and locker for personal items Structured orientation includes an initial compliance day, Epic training, and 2-3 unit-specific shadow shifts Will not float to NICU or outside department Supportive management provides routine feedback and expects openness to workflow adaptation Travelers must be able to transition between labor, delivery, and routine mom and baby care as needed Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required; will consider 1 year of experience with multiple travel assignments Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NRP Must be comfortable with independent deliveries, C-section circulation, and assisting with newborn transition Must provide two references : one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years Experience with Epic EMR required Comfortable titrating drips (magnesium, Pitocin, insulin) Driver's license copy required for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628302.
