Experience in working with different adhesives and other bonding methods. Ability to read and follow manufacturing and test procedures. Experience performing tasks under a microscope. Working knowledge of catheter based medical devices. Comfortable in a clean room. Effective communication skills. Able to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Job Overview
The R&D Technician is a hands-on role that supports the design, development, and testing of the company's innovative products. You will be working side-by-side with Engineering and Manufacturing. This position reports to the Senior Engineer Manager.
Responsibilities & Deliverables include, but are not limited to :
- Fabrication of catheter-based subassemblies and full assemblies
- Device testing including validation testing.
- Troubleshooting device material and assembly issues
- Generate functional prototype from design concepts and assist the transfer of R&D product
- build to manufacturing.
- Support product builds through all R&D project phases, providing feedback on assembly
- process.
- Perform testing to support design, process, and equipment validation.
- Prepare test samples (products / materials / solutions) for routine and qualification testing.
- Support the building and assembly of prototypes.
- Identify issues as they arise and assist in troubleshooting of procedures and / or instruments.
- Execute re-work and inspection of components and assemblies.
- Other duties as assigned.
