Solid understanding of interpreting manuals and schematics in electricity and have some knowledge in mechanical alignment. Experience working with pneumatics actuators and cylinders. Basic usage of hand tools and the ability to use multimeters to troubleshoot equipment problems. Ability to troubleshoot repair equipment timely under pressure situations. Results oriented. Team oriented. Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment. Fluent in English. French or Spanish a plus.
We are looking for a Senior Field Service Engineer for one of our clients, a global industry leader in end of packaging lines.
Responsibilities
- Be a hands-on technician and be the primary support to production in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing equipment downtime to ensure maximum output.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering and Project Management team to monitor equipment status and performance.
- Be proactive in addressing problems using the appropriate troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Carefully document all repairs and the appropriate adjustments made.
- Assess the equipment's performance and repair history and work with engineers to plan a preventative maintenance schedule as well as work on equipment upgrades as appropriate.
- Train operators and maintenance teams on new equipment.
- Work closely with our Design department and Service department.
