ER Technician- Full Time Nights- Nazareth Hospital

Employment Type Full time Shift Rotating Shift Description Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, is looking for a per diem Emergency Room Technician to join our team! Shift : Full Time Nights The Emergency Room Technician functions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. He / she provides non-licensed direct patient care to neonate through geriatric patients. He / she assists the healthcare team by providing personal assistance to patients by caring for the patient, equipment and supplies and also by providing clerical and nursing care support services.

• Adheres to Corporate Compliance Guidelines
• Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with Hospital Safety and Infection Control policies as required by OSHA and the patient Safety Program
• Demonstrates essential knowledge and skills when performing / assisting in procedures and treatments.
• Performs vital signs on admission and at least every 2 hours, or as directed by RN. Documents on EMR and reports results to RN.
• Set up low flow O2 by nasal cannula (no application of oxygen) Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent. Phlebotomy proficiency preferred, successful completion of phlebotomy training with six (6) months of hire.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills
