Purchasing Agent - Mechanical Servicing Company - Base Salary to 75k / year - Gaithersburg, MD

• Our client, a stable, fast-growing mechanical servicing company, has an immediate need for a purchasing agent for their Gaithersburg, MD office. Our client has been in business for over 30 years and has a stellar reputation in the industry. The Gaithersburg team operates as a tight-knit group, always willing to help each other out, and are looking for someone who operates from a “customer first” mentality in order to fit into this culture.
• In this position, the Purchasing Agent will work with service technicians, sales reps, and the warehouse manager to source HVAC parts. You will be responsible for sourcing, ordering parts, working with purchase orders, and following up on orders and returns. You will work to get better pricing and / or faster lead time.

Qualifications : The ideal candidate for this position will possess a background in purchasing in HVAC, construction, or related trades. The candidate should be independent, self-motivated, and driven to take complete ownership over their role. They should possess strong CRM experience and exceptional customer service skills.

Compensation : Our client is offering a base salary in the 70k – 75k / year range, depending on experience. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, 401k, PTO and much more.
