Structural Engineer

Serve as Lead Structural Engineer to provide conceptual and detailed design of building structure in pre-sales stage and post sales stages.

• Work with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes.
• Detailed design of mechanical parts – lifting points, anchoring points, flashings, gutters, etc.
• Create designs which meet or exceed Vertiv quality requirements and fall within budgetary requirements.
• Provide a detailed Schematic Design, Detail Design and Construction Drawing narrative for structural design aspects of the solution.
• Review and approve structural product submittals.
• Provide Static and Dynamic calculations.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineer on thermal transfer calculations.
• Detailed design of foundation requirements.
• Manage and coordinate contracted engineering companies regarding civil work calculations, mechanical and structural calculations and creation of factory documentation.
• Material specification – structural and finish.
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to and during construction phases.
• Welding procedure and inspection specification.
• Develop and provide Dimensional test procedure and structural load test procedure and calculation.
• Provide technical project coordination with customers and suppliers.
• Quality control during execution.
• Travel to fabricators facility for design validation and review their workmanship.
