This position operates the Centralized Power Plant as the only employee on shift, and is responsible for complete operation of a full range of equipment used in the generation of steam heat by high pressure gas fueled boilers. Functions independently during periods when the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds is not available and performs other maintenance duties as assigned.
This position also acts as a lead worker / team leader of all power plant operators and is in charge of the maintenance and repair program of the power plant.
Salary Information : This position is in pay schedule / range 03-16 with a starting rate of $30.16, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A 12-month probationary period is required.
