Do you love to teach Drums? We're seeking experienced music instructors who are friendly, enthusiastic about music education, and enjoy working with both children and adults. All of our teachers are working musicians and / or students, and absolutely love what they do. In particular, we are looking for instructors who can work 3 to 4 days per week.
School of Rock is the original performance-based, interactive music school founded in 1998 in Philadelphia. With over 400 schools internationally and a strong, internationally recognized brand, School of Rock is the largest provider of after-school, performance-based music education. Our mission is to help kids rock their worlds, on and off the stage.
Our school has a fantastic community of over 300 students. We combine weekly lessons with directed band rehearsals and teach through the live shows we present six times a year. Our working environment is well-organized, well-equipped, and fun. We love what we do, and it's extremely rewarding!
Working at School of Rock simplifies the lesson process. Our front desk staff handles all lesson scheduling and client communications. All gear and teaching spaces are set up for you. All you have to do is show up on time, be fully engaged, and teach!

The School of Rock Music Instructor teaches students from ACDC to Zappa. The Instructor creates a safe and cool environment for students to achieve their musical and creative potential, ensuring that each School of Rock student has an exceptional musical journey. In support of that goal, the Instructor is responsible for all music and education-related elements within the lessons. The Instructor creates a dynamic lesson experience to ensure their students are challenged and inspired. Our instructors positively embody rock and roll and are responsible for creating a valuable learning experience for our students. We provide comprehensive training and support to enable our instructors to thrive.
We teach five core areas at School of Rock : Drums, Guitar, Vocals, Keys , and Bass . Many of our instructors have broader musical talent as well, which we do our best to engage.
