WSP is initiating a search for an enthusiastic and motivated Transportation Engineer to join the Transportation Team. This position will sit in the Atlanta, GA office.

This opportunity provides the chance to work on GDOT projects and a variety of highway and transportation design tasks, with the potential to enhance design and production skills and build relationships within WSP and with clients around the state.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project tasks for conceptual and preliminary engineering and final design activities, as well as development of construction plans, calculations and specifications.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines such as structures, hydraulics, traffic, environmental, and utilities.
• Participate hands-on in the preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E).
• Assist with the development of layouts, sketches, plans, specifications and estimates standards and guidelines, correspondence, and / or prepare reports.
• Develop engineering skills including horizontal and vertical geometry design, 3D corridor modeling, drainage and erosion control design, and cost estimating.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
