About The Position

Must-Have : Candidates must not be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated facilities.

Description :

The unit has a total of 33 beds, with an average daily census of 16.

Nurse to patient ratios are 1 : 2-3 for adults.

Common diagnoses include sepsis, post-stent care, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress.

RNs are required to titrate drips for various medications, including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation.

Healthcare support technicians are available Monday through Friday from 0800 to 1630.

RNs are responsible for basic troubleshooting of respiratory equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow.

RNs must read and interpret their own telemetry strips.

Shifts are scheduled from 0630 to 1830 and 1830 to 0630.

Self-scheduling is allowed for core staff, while travelers will be integrated into the schedule.

Weekend requirements are every other weekend, and holiday requirements are based on a rotating schedule.

Floating to other departments may occur, typically to progressive care units or medical-surgical units.

RTO (requested time off) must be provided upfront, with a limit of 7 days per 13-week contract.

The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.

EPIC is the charting system utilized on the unit.

A BSN is required for this position.
