Barnes Jewish West County Hospital is a new state of the art facility that opened for patient care in November 2019.  We are looking for Registered Nurses that can become part of a learning and growing team.

The 3100 unit at BJWCH is an environment for patients that need support after their surgical procedure. The unit is a center for bariatric surgical center of excellence, specializing in bariatric surgery, but also specializing in colorectal patients. Caring for both types of patients follows a specific surgical pathway, however, is still unique to the individual needs of the patient.

Overview

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.

Medicine - 1 West manages patients with a full range of clinical issues-from heart failure and pneumonia, GI conditions, infectious diseases, asthma, and a multitude of other conditions and diseases.  Because of our patient acuity, we provide advanced training to maintain nurses at the highest level of functioning.  The unit is lead by a clinical manager and lead charge nurse.   Additionally the unit works in collaboration with a case manager, social worker, physical therapist, dietitian, and pharmacist.  This multidisciplinary team works in conjunction with the physicians, nurses and patient care technicians to provide quality patient care.
