Title : Platform Engineer

Location : Plano, TX Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Salary Range : $48 / hr.

Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Platform Engineer. This role involves working in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our platform infrastructure, ensuring reliability and efficiency in our operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
  • Hands-on experience with Harness pipelines, delegates, and connectors
  • Hands-on experience with Harness or Harness pipelines
  • Solid understanding of AWS cloud services (EC2, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)
  • Familiarity with CICD workflows, GitOps, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Helm)
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, or Spinnaker
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across application logs, deployment pipelines, and cloud integrations
  • Proficiency with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, AppDynamics)
  • Prior experience supporting internal developer platforms or platform engineering teams
  • Exposure to container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, EKS, GKE)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL-based incident management
  • Knowledge of scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and diagnostics
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills, especially in remote-first environments

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience managing, upgrading, troubleshooting Harness environments in private cloud
  • Experience with observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk)
  • Experience in facilitating and coordinating developer enablement activities

    • Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Monitor Harness pipelines, delegates, and logs for anomalies using observability tools
  • Respond to support tickets, alerts, and incident reports in real-time
  • Assist with delegate upgrades, connector configurations, and onboarding of new services
  • Troubleshoot CICD pipeline failures and integration issues across cloud platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer workflows and platform reliability
  • Maintain and enhance platform documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives
