Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. The role involves recording patient vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes. You will also be responsible for stocking exam and treatment rooms, ordering supplies, triaging over the phone with patients, handling electronic medical records (EMR) for patient questions and callbacks, processing medical refills, and performing various administrative duties such as typing, filing, faxing, and reception.

Responsibilities :

• Record patient vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Stock exam and treatment rooms and order necessary supplies.
• Triage patient calls and handle inquiries over the phone.
• Manage patient questions and callbacks using EMR systems.
• Process medical refills efficiently.
• Perform administrative tasks including typing, filing, faxing, and managing reception.

Work Environment :

The position requires working Monday to Friday, from 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM. The role involves supporting multiple locations, including Pearland, Pasadena, and surrounding areas. You will primarily work with patients undergoing colon and rectal tests / procedures. It is important to be comfortable with this specialty. The work environment is professional and supportive, focusing on providing excellent patient care.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 / hr.
