As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities

Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students.
Accept on-demand tutoring requests whenever you’re available.
Conduct sessions remotely using the Live Learning Platform.
Match with students whose needs align with your teaching style and expertise.
Leverage the Tutor Copilot features to support instruction, save prep time, and maintain engagement.
Handle invoicing and logistics while the platform processes payments.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.

Expertise in Advertising with the ability to explain concepts clearly.

Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.

Priority given to those with tutoring and / or teaching experience, and graduate-level education.

Compensation and Logistics

Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and can increase for specialized subjects, with potential to earn up to $40 / hour with the same student.

Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice for.

Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.

We handle the logistics—you invoice for sessions, and we process payments.
