American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with 3 years of NICU experience for a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit night shift position requiring a current CA RN license and NRP certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Level 2 NICU with 31 beds in an acute care settingCare for neonatal patients from 22 weeks gestation and up, including preterm infants and drug withdrawal casesTypical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 1, 1 : 2, or 1 : 3 depending on acuityNight shift position with 12-hour shifts; required to work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 holidaysNo floating required for this positionCerner EMR is usedGE telemetry monitoring and ventilator management are part of the roleNeonatologist on call 24 / 7; RT and pharmacy services available 24 / 7On-call possible if census drops, with a 30-minute response time requiredNurses may care for multiples and attend high-risk deliveries and c-sections as part of rapid response for neonatesFloor-specific orientation includes one shift on the unitNavy scrubs are required for this positionCandidates may not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit Health (including CHI or Dignity) within the past yearFirst-time travelers are welcome to apply\n \n Requirements\n
Current and active CA RN license at time of application; compact or pending licenses not acceptedMinimum of 3 years recent NICU nursing experience requiredCurrent BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required; STABLE certification preferredTwo professional references required : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibilityCopy of driver's license requiredExperience in ventilator management and use of Cerner EMR required\n Benefits\n
