About The Position

Wellhart is seeking an experienced Otolaryngologist / ENT Surgeon for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Iowa. This 36-day assignment begins on 07 / 01 / 2025, offering a full-time schedule Monday through Friday from 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with all ENT services and procedures, including inpatient responsibilities and potential teaching opportunities. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a skilled ENT surgeon to contribute to a comprehensive practice while enjoying the flexibility of locum work.

Provider Type Needed : Physician specializing in Otolaryngology / ENT Surgery

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM (36 hours / week, 1.0 FTE)

Responsibilities and Duties :

Provide comprehensive ENT services and procedures

Manage both outpatient clinic and surgical cases

Handle inpatient responsibilities as needed

Participate in the on-call schedule

Perform surgeries and procedures during available OR time

Collaborate with a dedicated nurse (1 : 1 ratio) and ancillary staff

Utilize two exam rooms for patient consultations

Interpret medical imaging results as necessary

Maintain accurate and timely medical records using the Epic system

Participate in teaching opportunities if desired

Adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives as needed

Additional Information :

Iowa medical license required

Board certification in Otolaryngology preferred

Strong surgical skills and experience in all aspects of ENT

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs and schedules
