$60,000.00 / yr - $70,000.00 / yr

Position Overview

Applications Support / Inside Sales Specialist must be detailed and customer service oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Position requires a high level of correspondence with sales team and with customers & vendors. Must be strong in Microsoft applications and be able to work well with others in a fast-paced & high-volume environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Knowledge of products and how to apply them (after training).
  • Assist Outside Sales staff with project development.
  • Assist in design solutions for specific customer application requirements and to apply engineering principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, static's, and dynamics to process control systems
  • Interact with customers daily and have the ability to develop and assist in closing sales.
  • Learns various selection software as given to us by manufacturers to assist in project development
  • Communicate effectively with other team members concerning project management process.
  • Responsible for general administrative functions to support the equipment fulfilment process.
  • Responsible for generating, interpreting and printing various assigned reports.
  • Maintain expense reports and utilize manufacture discounts.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business or related field and 3 years Administrative Assistance experience; or 5 years Administrative experience
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • HVAC, Mechanical Contracting, Engineering or Construction industry experience
  • Other Skills / Abilities

    Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Will be required to work in an office environment and possibly, occasionally in the field.
  • Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
