POSITION SUMMARY :

  • Set up and maintain AS9100 compliant Quality System to ensure continuous production of products that meet or exceed required standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
  • Formulate and maintain quality control objectives and coordinate objectives in cooperation with other plant supervisors to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Directs, through intermediate personnel, workers engaged in inspections and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
  • Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
  • Investigates and determines corrective actions required on customer complaints as required.
  • Acts as Management Representative for ISO / AS Quality System per AS9100.
  • Promotes safety as a member of the safety committee and through related activities.
  • Maintains calibration program to AS / ISO requirements.
  • Develop and maintain supplier corrective action program to ensure compliance of purchased items.
  • Communicates well with co-workers to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
  • Maintains an orderly and safe work area.

    • JOB TRAINING REQUIREMENTS :

  • A four-year college degree and 5-8 years in manufacturing, 2 of the years as a Quality Engineer.
  • The employee is required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor; exert 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally, exert 10-25 lbs. of force frequently, exert up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

  • General machine shop conditions. The employee may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
