We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Torrance, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in managing cash applications, posting payments, and supporting chargeback-related activities within our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities :

• Process daily cash and credit card deposits, ensuring accurate application to the accounts receivable ledger.
• Post payments to customer accounts while maintaining alignment between bank deposits and the A / R sub-ledger.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash posting and payment applications.
• Analyze and document backup for deductions taken on payments, ensuring proper resolution.
• Research and compile necessary documentation for traffic-related claims.
• Reconcile and process credit card deposits, obtaining managerial approval as needed.
• Provide backup support to the credit department during absences or high workload periods.
• Assist in month-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting.
• Collaborate on special projects as assigned by credit management or the controller.
• 3-7 years of experience in cash applications or accounts receivable roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of v-lookups and pivot tables.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to manage financial discrepancies.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced and minimally supervised environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to assist in various tasks as needed.
