Japanese-English Translator (Part-Time, Contract with Potential for Full-Time Hire)

Fictiv exists to enable hardware innovators to build better products, faster. We are seeking a bilingual Japanese-English Translator to support our Oakland team on a part-time contract basis, with the opportunity to transition to full-time based on performance and business needs. You will help ensure accurate communication and cultural understanding between our U.S. and Japan-based colleagues.

This role begins as a contract with part-time hours and requires availability during scheduled business meetings and activities.

What You'll Do

• Provide real-time interpretation for leadership meetings and cross-functional discussions (Japanese & English).
• Translate internal documents, HR communications, and training materials with precision and cultural nuance.
• Act as a cultural liaison, strengthening collaboration across global teams.
• Support People Operations initiatives when translation needs are lighter.

This contract role pays $45.00 – $85.00 per hour , depending on experience.
